Tax Preparation

Whether we like it or not, today's tax laws are so complicated that filing a relatively simple return can be confusing. It is just too easy to overlook deductions and credits to which you are entitled. Even if you use a computer software program there's no substitute for the assistance of an experienced tax professional.

• Individual returns are prepared using a Minimum Fee Schedule that charges a fee by the type of tax form or service provided.  The fee schedule assumes that all of the information needed to prepare the return is readily available.  Any additional services such as compiling data, computing basis, etc. will be billed at an hourly rate of $100 per hour.  A Form 1040 with itemized deductions  reported on Schedule A and investment income reported on Schedule B would be about $200.  A Form 1040A with Schedule B averages $110.
• Corporation, Partnership and Non Profit returns are billed at an hourly rate of $100 with a minimum preparation fee of $500. 
• Estate and Trust returns are billed at an hourly rate of $100 per hour with a minimum preparation fee of $150. 
• All eligible returns will be E-Filed if the return type supports E-File.  E-Filing your return speeds up the processing of your return at the IRS service center so you end up getting your refund much quicker than if you paper file.  In addition, when your return is E-Filed it goes through an initial validation process on transmittal that alerts us to issues which we can immediately correct and retransmit the return.  Examples would be incorrect Social Security Numbers, name/Social Security Number discrepancies, Dependants already claimed on another return, etc.  Best of all, there are no additional fees for E-Filing your return.  You do have the option to opt out of having your returns E-filed and we will honor any requests to opt out.
